On Our Way!!!

We got our 1600 approval so we are planning our trip. I can't believe it. PINCH ME PINCH ME.  15 more days til be board a plane. 

We are leaving Nov. 13 and arriving in Congo Nov 15. We get to see Dodo (Rocky) that day. Then we bring him home Nov 22 arrive in America Nov 23. 

I have lots of families sending me gifts for their child. I am so happy I can do this for them. They want their babies to have something for Christmas. I guess I am Santa for a day. 

We still need to raise lots of money. We are is such a struggle with money. Around Christmas time and traveling is making life so difficult. But we need to remember we are bringing our baby home. This is worth everything to us.

We can't wait to hear his laugh, see him play, watch him sleep etc.

Problems with Rocky's I600

I am so sad to say there are problems with his I600 so this is going to be about a 2 week hold up. It kills us inside that we have to wait an additional 2 weeks. In the real world 2 weeks is nothing but to bring him home 2 weeks is like 6 months. 

He is also very sick right now with some type of infection. He will continue to go to the doctor to monitor him. He is always sick. i think being in an orphanage is so hard and kids get sick so often.

We hope to travel before Thanksgiving. This is so important to us. Hunter's birthday is Nov 27 and I want to have Rocky home by then. We also do not want to travel during the busy time of year.

The other night at the place we are staying in the Congo our friends had cattepiliars for lunch. I hope this is not what we will be eating. Dan and I will lose weight going there.

My friend Kylie is in the Congo right now and we all need to pray for her. Her little girl is having night terrors and the trip is getting to be long for her. We want her home with her family.
