Going Back to School

This is the first time in my entire life I wished summer to go by fast. I can't even believe I am saying this. But the sooner summer passes us by the closer it is for Rocky coming home. I can't believe it will be 2 more months and then I will travel. Right now Dan and I are discussing me traveling alone to the Congo. We just don't have the funds to have both of us go. I wish we both could go but Rocky will be home soon enough to be embraced by our entire family. 

We should have his Birth Cert tomorrow Tuesday Aug 29 which will be a special day because it is my mom's birthday. She has passed away so it will be very special. I miss her so much during this adoption. She would be so proud of me. She also would  be so proud of my kids. On Monday we should be able to apply for the passport. I can't believe how fast things can go.

Tomorrow is Dan and my first day back to school. We have meetings all week long. Not the way I like to start the year but something we have to do. I am ready for the students smiling faces. I am so ready for my kids this year. I am teaching a 4/5 split but that is my favorite grade.

Also Dan and I are going to a new church and I am so pleased about this church. Adoption has brought me so much closer to God. I feel he has called me to do this adoption. I also feel he is calling me again to adopt more but Dan does not want to do this at this time. My children are also enjoying going to church. They don't dread this any more. They love how welcoming it is and family orientated. Dan is a very strong Catholic so he is struggling going to a new church but he is very open minded. We need to find a church that we feel as though we belong and feel welcomed as a family. The new church we are attending has a great youth program and they seem to be all about the children. Now this is what I love. We need the children to grow up with a strong faith. We also need them to have that love for God as we do. We can't force this on them. They will have to learn about him and grow to love him as we all did.

Nothing New here

We are still waiting on birth Certificates. I think we should have one this week. We are very excited. We have been working on our next fundraiser which is Rocky's Road Home and I hope everyone can make it.

I have added some new things to our house so here is a look to see what we have done. The tiles say "I love you" in Lingala. Rocky will be speaking this language when he comes home.

This week we should have more pics of Rocky. we are so excited. I heard that our worker might be going to the orphanage on Tuesday so we will wait and see.

All I can say is we love Rocky so much we want him home now.!!!
