So much happened today
  1. Dan wrote a proposal for American Airlines to see if they will help us with tickets to Africa
  2. Hunter and Sommer did a You Yube Video for us. It was VERY sweet. Address coming soon
  3. Dan posted on Facebook about our adoption. He couldn't keep it a secret any more
  4. Hunter drew our t-shirt logo design more or less it says 2 Worlds Unite As 1 with an air balloon design. I love it he is our artist.

We finally picked an international adoption agency which is One World Adoption Services otherwise known as OWAS. I feel this agency knows what they are doing in the Congo. We just sent in our application and are awaiting approval. Then we can get started on our dossier paperwork. I heard this is A LOT of work. I will try to go as fast as I can to get this adoption finalized very quick.

Friday night we went to my (heidi) dad's house and told him about our new adventure. He was very pleased and said they will have to add another Christmas bag under their tree adding to the 12 bags they already have.

Today Dan is going to write a proposal to American Airlines to see if they will donate tickets for our adoption. They ask for a lot in their proposal and also want to know what we will do for them as in advertising and promoting their airlines. It will take 8 weeks before we hear anything I need to keep my hopes up and fingers crossed. This has to come through for us. Pray for us please.

We went to Nator's birthday today. He is such a honey. We told Dan's parents and they were soooo happy for us. I was excited about it and the more I hear Dan talk about it the more excited I get. He doesn't show much emotion so when he does I just sit back and take it all in. Hunter is so happy we are asking for a boy. Of course Sommer wants a girl. I told Dan I would take 2 but he said 1 is the limit. I will honor his wish.

Boy of boy always something happening. Today Dan checked into loans for our family. Luckily we have a great credit rating or else I don't know what we would do. I think I have picked the agency we will work with and that is One World Adoption Services (OWAS). They have placed 90 children with families so far. They have their own orphanage in the Congo. When I spoke with my contact person there today she said they have a little boy in that age range for us. We will not wait long. How exciting. Today Vicky Raddatz helped me with some paperwork. We had to do a local criminal background check so her husband will help us with this. Not that the finger printing or FBI check will be enough. Thanks to you Vicky! Also thanks to Jill Main, Melissa Pieper and Sara Morgan for writing a reference about our family.

We are on our way to welcome a little boy to our family from the Congo (located in Africa). I have been working on researching agencies for the last 3 weeks. It has been overwhelming.

Dan and I are working with an agency called Special Children located in Elm Grove Wisconsin. This agency is doing our homestudy. Then we need to pick a international agency that works with the Congo. I have it narrowed down to 2 agencies OWAS and CAN. Still trying to decide what agency will work the best with our family.
